Looking Ahead

It’s been a busy year (in a good way!) and looks to stay that way through the end of 2016. In roughly chronological order, here’s what’s coming up for the rest of the year and what’s on deck after that.

PrisonMadeOfMirrorsFinalRETAILCover700x1067p96dpiRGB This should be out next month, though I don’t have an actual release date yet. It’s been an interesting adventure for this novella, the first draft of which I wrote at least six years ago. We’re going back to my dark fantasy roots with this one, and I’m glad it finally found a good home.

darkfuse5-s My story “The Ritual,” which was featured in DarkFuse Magazine back in August, is being collected in this hardcover anthology, which is now available for preorder. Ever since I wrote it, I’ve felt it’s one of my best. Don’t miss out.

promo-image I signed on for this anthology close to a year ago. It includes my m/m sci-fi romance novella No One on Earth and will be up for preorder soon. Release date is the day after Darkfuse #5, so that’s going to be a fun week. 😀

Up Next…
I wasn’t going to participate in NaNoWriMo this year; I’ve won the previous two years with the first two Firebird Trilogy books, and the final book is essentially finished already. My brain being what it is, however, and with a new project that should be outlined by the end of the month, I will most likely be participating in an unofficial capacity at least. No goals, just writing. cover And what is this mysterious project? Glad you asked. It’s the novel-length story of two characters I introduced in the Love, Always anthology–Ryan and Cody, a superhero and supervillain in love. The novel will be much heavier on the science fiction, but their love story is still at the heart of it all. Want to get a free taste? I’ve bundled my two Ryan/Cody shorts into one book exclusively for newsletter subscribers, who will have access to it starting next month. Sign up here!

That’s the main project. In the works are a short story for an anthology called Seventeen Shades of F*cked Up, due out on my birthday (!), and an as-yet untitled m/m hockey romance novelette for a charity anthology out in the spring as well. Two other novelettes, two novellas, and seven short stories are still making the rounds, so let’s hope for good news soon!

I have a few other projects percolating and have so far committed a novella to an anthology for next year. Firebird Book 3 will also be out at some point, likely late spring. And yes…I will be working on a new horror novel…
